About Us

Greetings

Your Tour is my business, borne of my love of Hawke’s Bay, the place I have lived in for over thirty years and where we raised our family. I love sharing with others the aspects that make this region unique, and such a wonderful place to live in and to visit. As well as hosting customised, private tours of Hawke’s Bay, I run a well-appointed homestay in Greenmeadows.

Hawke’s Bay is renowned for the quality of its cafes and restaurants, with some national award winners to prove it. I take advantage of this range of vibes & flavours when catching-up with friends for a coffee or meal. For exercise, it’s hard to beat walking or cycling some of Hawke’s Bay’s extensive network of tracks, especially those that follow the coast and have scope for a coffee stop! I have been learning a language for several years and take opportunities to practise this in my travels. On my tours, I host speakers of all languages, from all over the world, and have discovered that there is always much to be shared and learned on both sides.

I enjoy art, in all its forms. Browsing local galleries and exhibitions, and observing the vast range of public art while out and about, serves as a constant reminder of the depth of artistic talent that we have here in Hawke’s Bay. To this end, I have developed bespoke tours to help other art lovers find hidden gems in this region.

In addition to these interests, I can also be found pottering with intent in my garden on a warm Hawke’s Bay day, catching a movie at the quaint Globe Theatrette in Ahuriri, sifting through local auction houses for pieces of interest, or unwinding with a book, especially one that inspires further travel adventures.

That’s me. What about you?

Perhaps something you have read, heard about, seen a picture of or experienced in past visits will encourage you to spend some time exploring Hawke’s Bay. Talk to me about what you would like to see and do while you’re here and I will plan a tour for you that includes this. If you have no specific preferences, I will suggest places to visit based on your interests. We love doing tours for locals too. If you live here, a quality tour might just offer you a fresh perspective and appreciation of this captivating region.

Do make contact. I look forward to hearing from you.
